Ingredients

  • 15pani puri shells
  • 4boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 2 tablespoonsboiled white peas
  • 1finely chopped onion
  • 1 cupfresh yogurt, whisked with salt
  • 1 teaspoonchaat masala
  • 1 teaspoonpani puri masala
  • 1 teaspoonroasted cumin powder
  • 4 tablespoonssweet tamarind chutney
  • 2 tablespoonsgreen chutney
  • For garnish
  • 2 tablespoonschopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoonsboondi (crispy chickpea flour puffs)
  • 1 tablespoonpomegranate seeds
  • 1 tablespoonsev (crispy chickpea flour noodles)

Steps

10 minutes
  1. 1

    Gently crack open the tops of the pani puri shells.

  2. 2

    Arrange the shells on a plate and fill each with mashed potatoes, chopped onion, pomegranate seeds, and yogurt as needed.

  3. 3

    Add sweet tamarind chutney and green chutney to taste.

  4. 4

    Sprinkle roasted cumin powder, sev, pani puri masala, chaat masala, boondi, pomegranate seeds, and chopped cilantro on top, then serve.

  5. 5

    Serve the dahi puri immediately, or the shells will become soggy.

  6. 6

    Enjoy this tangy dahi puri, especially during the rainy season.
