Add olive oil to a nonstick pan and heat it. Add the chopped onion and cook for 2 minutes. Add the garlic paste, ginger paste, and green chili paste. Mix well, cover, and cook for 2 more minutes.

Once the onion and spices are cooked, add the tomato puree. Crack the eggs into the pan, leaving some space between them. Cook on low heat for 5 to 8 minutes.

When the shakshuka is ready, turn off the heat. Sprinkle black pepper and a pinch of salt over the eggs, and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro. Shakshuka tastes delicious served with roti, bread, or rice.
