Clafoutis is a baked French dessert . Traditionally , black berries were used in Clafoutis along with butter , sugar , all purpose flour to form a flan like smooth batter . As , I wanted to add heathy ingredients , I omitted Maida and sugar in my recipe . Instead , I have included whole wheat flour , honey along with the goodness of fresh apples , pomegranates and eggs . Another twist is this Clafoutis is baked in a cooker . #fruits

  1. 1 cupWhole milk
  2. 2Large Eggs
  3. 1/2 cupWhole Wheat Flour
  4. Himalayan pink Salt a big pinch
  5. 4 tablespoonsHoney
  6. 3/4 teaspoonVanilla extract
  7. 1 teaspoonFresh Cinnamon powder
  8. 3 tablespoonsButter at room temperature
  9. 4 tablespoonsPomegranate pearls
  10. 1Apple large peeled, thinly sliced
  11. 3 tablespoonsLime juice
  12. As neededHoney to drizzle
  13. as neededButter for greasing

    Preheat cooker with salt for 15 minutes in low heat.

    Peel, core and cut a large Apple into thin slices.

  3. 3

    Dip apple slices in fresh lime juice.Keep them aside. Lime prevents apples from discolouration.

    In a wide bowl, take 1 cup equals 150 ml whole milk. Add 2 large eggs.

    Add 4 tablespoons honey. Add 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.

    Add a big pinch Himalayan pink salt.

    Add a teaspoon fresh cinnamon powder.

    Add 3 tablespoons room temperature butter.

    Whisk the mixture until the butter melts completely.

    Add 1/2 cup wheat flour gradually while whisking in other hand. Form a smooth lump free batter.

    Grease butter in a baking tin.
    Sprinkle 2 tablespoons pomegranate pearls in the tin.

    Pour in the Clafoutis batter on top of the pomegranate pearls.

    Sprinkle a teaspoon of pomegranate pearls on top. Arrange the Apple slices one by one to form a

    circle on top of the batter.

    Sprinkle the remaining pomegranate pearls.
    Place the baking tin inside the preheated cooker. Close the cooker. Bake for 30 minutes in medium

    heat. Baked Clafoutis puffs up with golden crusty appearance. A clean fork equals perfect bake.

    Take out the tin from the cooker. Drizzle honey on the warm Clafoutis just before serving.

    Serve warm immediately. Relish.
