Steps

Wash and soak basmati rice for an hour or 30mins.

Add good amount of water to a clean pot and add salt to taste.

Add cinnamon,cloves,cardamoms,black pepper,cumin seeds and oil.

Bring the water to a boil.

Add in soaked Basmati rice and give a mix.

Cook the rice until it is 70% done,strain the Rice

For the chicken: cut and wash the chicken get a clean pot put on fire add the chicken,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,ginger garclic paste,garam masala powder,black pepper powder,yoghurt salt to Taste and seasoning mix well.

Cover the pot let it cooked for 20-30mins.

Get a flat clean pot add some oil all over the base.

Start making a layers of the basmati rice and the chicken.

Add the chicken spread it evenly.

Add rice all over the chicken.

I tbsp onion flavored oil(oil remained after frying onions).

Pour saffron strands soaked in milk evenly across the top of the rice.

Add fried onions.

Cover the lid put on high flame for 20mins then turn on low flame for 10mins.

Chicken biryani is readyyyy.
