Ingredients

  1. Thepla
  2. 1 1/2 cupwhole wheat flour
  3. 1/2 cupfresh fenugreek leaves
  4. 1 tspgarlic paste
  5. 1 tspgreen chilli paste
  6. 1 tspwhite sesame
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric
  8. 1 tspyoghurt
  9. 1/4 tspcoriander seed powder
  10. 2 tspoil
  11. 1/4 tspchilli powder
  12. Salt - As required
  13. 1/4 cupoil for Cooking
  14. Bean filling
  15. 1 1/2 cupboiled pinto beans
  16. 1 tbspoil
  17. 1 tspgarlic paste
  18. 1 tspgreen chilli paste
  19. 1small onion, finely chopped
  20. 1medium sized tomato, finely chopped
  21. 2 tbspTomato ketchup
  22. 2 tbspchilli sauce
  23. 1/2 cupGrated processed cheese
  24. Accompaniments
  25. 1. Salsa
  26. 2. Sour cream
  27. 3. Mango Salsa

Steps

    Methi Theplas
    Mix whole wheat flour, fenugreek, spices, chilli paste, garlic paste, white sesame and all the ingredients to make a dough.
    Pinch small balls, flatten then and roll to make a flat discs. Cook them on a griddle using a little bit of oil. Stack them up in a hot case.

    Bean Filling
    Heat oil in a pan, add garlic paste and onions and cook till it becomes fragrant. Add the tomato and cook it till it becomes soft. Add the beans and all the other ingredients and cook.
