In such chilling weather what can you crave for-Yummy Aloo Tikkis and that too stuffed.Combination of aloo,fresh green peas mixed with spices spices make these tikkis very tasty and full of flavour.I served it with Coriander chutney and pudina garlic chutney.They can also be served as chaat with chickpeas,dahi and saunth.Whichever way you have them the taste is mind blowing!

Boil and mash the potatoes.Add salt and 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder and mix well.Finely chop the onion and green chillies and grate the ginger.

To prepare the stuffing first heat a heavy bottomed pan and add 1 tbsp oil to it.Add the onion,ginger and Chillies and saute for about a minute.Add the peas.Add salt, 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder and garam masala to it and saute well.When the peas are half done slightly mash the peas with a masher.Saute again and cook for a minute or so and transfer the mixture into a bowl.The stuffing is ready.Let it cool down.

Grease your palm with little oil.Take a small portion of mashed potatoes and stuff with the peas mixture.Give them the shape of a tikki.Apply some oil on both sides to give smooth texture.Fill all in the same manner.

Heat a non stick tawa.Place the tikkis on the tawa.Since we already applied oil while stuffing the tikkis,very little oil is required now to cook them.Flip and toast on both sides till golden brown.Yummy tikkis are ready to serve.
