Ingredients

  1. 1 cupwater (240 ml)
  2. 2 tablespoonscornstarch (about 16 grams)
  3. 6 clovesgarlic, peeled and chopped
  4. 1/4 cupvegetable oil (60 ml)
  5. Pinchsalt
  6. Juice of half a lemon

Steps

  1. 1

    In a saucepan, combine the water, cornstarch, and garlic. Stir well.

  2. 2

    Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.

    Using an immersion blender, blend the mixture while gradually adding the oil, then add the lemon juice and salt.

    Let the sauce cool in the refrigerator.

    Blend again before serving.
