Braised Leeks
A simple recipe that's always a great addition to winter savory dishes
Steps
- 1
Preheat your oven to 325°F and get a small dutch oven in the stove top with the butter going.
- 2
In the mean time, cut your leeks in half, trimming off any bad stuff you don't need (wilted tops, roots)
- 3
Place the halfs in the Dutch oven, and give them a light brown. About 6 minutes. While that's going, crush your garlic and get the rest of the ingredients ready.
- 4
Deglaze the pan with the white wine. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then add your chicken stock, herbs and seasonings. Cover with aluminium foil and place in the oven for 45 minutes.
