My Special Spice Blend My Special Spice Blend
I am tired of going through the aisles of the grocery store looking for a spice blend to suit my taste without all the salt. So I came up with this to use with some ribs I was serving, but it's a very versatile spice blend. Can be used with anything from steaks, poultry, and pork. Enjoy!!! Maia -
Beef Caldereta Beef Caldereta
This recipe is called Beef Caldereta or Kalderetang Baka which is a beef stew from the Philippines, brought by the Spanish people during their 300-year occupation in the country. The word “caldereta” is derived from the Spanish word “caldera”, which means “cauldron”, a large cast iron pot for cooking or boiling over an open fire, with a large pot and frequently with an arc-shaped hanger. There are many variations of this recipe but commonly, it is meat stewed with potatoes, carrots, bell pepper, pickle relish, green peas, peanut butter, tomato sauce, and liver paste. But for this recipe, I am going to be omitting liver paste, so this is still perfect for those who do not eat pork.Recipe by: @HomebasedChef homebasedchef -

Beef with Green Peppers Beef with Green Peppers
I ate beef with green pepper at a diner. I arranged it to be easy to make. I made the taste to suit our family's tastes! My family loves this recipe.-I use bottled grated garlic, but you can also use one clove of minced garlic!-There is no need to season the beef in advance so it is easy to make. You can use all kinds of parts of the meat such as offcuts, belly or shoulder meat.-You can also add other vegetables you find in the refrigerator. Recipe by Miruchan mama cookpad.japan -

Chicken and Sausage Gumbo (as taught to me by my FRENCH CAJUN grandma!) Chicken and Sausage Gumbo (as taught to me by my FRENCH CAJUN grandma!)
If you want a thicker Gumbo use more flour and oil to make more roux.I add in a few boiled eggs about half an hour before it's done.If you've been to New Orleans this is similar to the Gumbo you'll find there with a bit of a difference. This is an authentic Cajun Gumbo recipe. Down here we serve it with potato salad. Sprinkle a little Gumbo filé on top for an even better cajun experience. Sometimes we add shrimp (small size) or ham (especially when I have leftovers from a baked ham). Also, if you're not familiar with making a roux you can buy it pre made in light or dark. Always use dark for this. I suggest making it yourself. You might not get it quite right the first time or two but it's worth it to learn. Holly -
