Steps

Peel the onions and Cut them in julienne style, longitudinally

Set a stainless steel pan, heat the oil then add in the onions

Let cook on medium low heat, flipping so as they brown evenly

Reduce heat to low and let cook for 20 minutes, mixing a little frequently until they all golden. Add in the sugar and stir

Remove from heat push the onions on one side and Tilt the pan so as to separate the oil from the onions
- 6
Your can serve at this stage and save the rest for later use
