Ingredients

40 minutes
4-5 servings
  • 11/2 ltr milk
  • 3 spoonsBadam /pista grated
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • As requiredSugar
  • FewSaffron strands
  • 1lemon

Steps

40 minutes
  1. 1

    Boil 1 litre milk.when milk comes to boil add lemon juice and start stirring until milk turns into cuddle.

  2. 2

    Strain it in a strainer leave it for 15 - 20 minutes,till the water drains completely.

  3. 3

    After it drains take it and keep in a flat surface and start pressing with your palm and make a dough.It will take around 5-8 minutes.Press nicely to make a nice dough.

    From that dough make small balls without a crack.

  5. 5

    Now heat 1/2 litre water.once it started boiling add the balls and cover it for 15 minutes and keep in low flame.

  6. 6

    After 10 minutes slowly turn it and let it cook for another 15 minutes and switch off the flame.

  7. 7

    Boil 1/2 litre milk.Add cardamom powder and let it boil until it become 3/4th.

  8. 8

    Now add sugar,saffron, grated badam and pista.Switch off the flame.Now remove the balls from boiled water and place it into the milk.

  9. 9

    Rasmalai is ready to serve!!!
