Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1ripe mango
  2. 1 tablespoonbasil seeds (sabja seeds)
  3. 4-5 tablespoonsrose syrup
  4. 1/2 cupfalooda noodles (about 50 grams)
  5. 1/2 cupplain yogurt or milk
  6. 1 teaspoonpowdered sugar
  7. Chopped nuts as needed (cashews, almonds, pistachios)

Steps

  1. 1

    First, soak the basil seeds in a small bowl of water.

    Peel the mango. Cut half of it into small pieces. Puree the other half with 1 teaspoon of sugar. Chill the puree in the refrigerator.

    Mix 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar into the yogurt and chill in the refrigerator.

    Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a pan. Add the falooda noodles and cook until soft. Drain using a strainer and let cool.

    To assemble: Pour rose syrup into a glass, then add the soaked basil seeds, followed by the cooked falooda noodles.

    Add the mango puree, then the chopped mango pieces, then the sweetened yogurt or milk. Garnish with cashews, almonds, and pistachios. Drizzle a little more rose syrup on top and serve.

    You can also add mango ice cream or rabri on top if you like.
