No yeast, no rising, no waiting! Yes I know... just simple, simple mix it up and roll it out, throw it in the pan!!

No Brainier!

I’ve been making these flatbreads for years now. In my cooking workshops I love seeing how excited people are when they realise they can make a flat bread within minutes without any messing around! You can mix up the flavours by putting dry or fresh herbs in them too!

Ingredients

15 mins including prep
2 servings
  1. Flatbreads
  2. 200 gramsplain flour
  3. Halfa cup of ice cold water
  4. 1/2 tspcumin
  5. 1/2 tspcinnamon
  6. Sprinkling of salt & pepper

Cooking Instructions

15 mins including prep
  1. 1

Pour the flour, spices and seasoning into a large bowl, add most of the water and start to mix! You may need to add more water depending on how dry the flour is! If it’s not coming together add a bit more!

  2. 2

Bring it together to make a ball. Squidgy it together but don’t knead it too much!

  3. 3

Dust some flour on a surface and cut into four, now roll each triangle into smaller balls.

  4. 4

Now roll out into rough circles I say rough because you don’t need to worry about them being perfect! They still taste good. They need to be just a couple of millimetres thick about the size of a side plate.

  5. 5

On a high heat, heat up a heavy bottomed frying pan and throw it in!

  6. 6

When it starts to bubble and rise it’s almost ready to flip this doesn’t take long when it’s on the highest setting, 30 seconds or so!

  7. 7

Cook it on the other side for a similar time, then transfer to some tin foil to keep warm and repeat 3 times. It’s as simple as that.
