Ingredients

Preparation time-30mins, Cooking time-25 mins
2 people
  1. For Pistachio paste
  2. 3 TbspPistachios
  3. 1/4 cupwater to make paste
  4. For Kheer
  5. 3 Tbsprice
  6. 3 Tbspmilk to make rice paste
  7. 3 cupsmilk to make Kheer
  8. 1/2 cupsugar
  9. as neededGreen food colour optional and I didn’t use
  10. 3 tspFor garnish chopped pistachio

Cooking Instructions

Preparation time-30mins, Cooking time-25 mins

    Soak rice after good wash for 30 mins, strain the water and make a paste in a blender with 3 Tbsp milk. Set aside

    Take pistachio and soak in water for 10 mins and add to the blender to make a paste with water

  3. 3

    In a heavy bottomed pan heat milk and add the rice paste and keep stirring so that there is no lump. This should be on low flame

  4. 4

    When the Kheer is little thick, add the pistachio paste and keep stirring. At this time you can add green colour which I omitted.

    Add sugar at this time and keep stirring until sugar melts

  6. 6

    Set aside once done.

    Plate and garnish with chopped pistachios
