South Indian Filter Coffee South Indian Filter Coffee
South Indian filter coffee, also known as "Kaapi," is a popular traditional delicious coffee preparation in the southern states of India. It is typically made from a blend of dark-roasted coffee beans (usually Arabica or a mix of Arabica and Robusta) and chicory. The coffee decoction (coffee concentrate) is made by brewing the coffee grounds and chicory mixture in a metal vessel called a "filter" with hot water. The dark, strong decoction is then mixed with hot milk and sugar to taste before serving in a tumbler and davarah (metal cups).South Indian filter coffee is often described as having a smooth and balanced flavor profile with lower acidity compared to some other brewing methods. The addition of chicory also helps reduce the acidity in the coffee. This type of coffee is suitable for people with acid reflux and it also helps protect tooth enamel due to low acidity.Overall, it’s a very unique way to prepare a delicious cup of coffee and enjoyed with some tea biscuits or cake.My in-laws are from the southern part of India and I learned this recipe from my mother-in-law. Sophisticated Coffee Jello Sophisticated Coffee Jello
Though the ingredients and Steps are simple, I actually put quite a lot of thought into this recipe. For example, I considered what consistency the jello needed to be to crumble it, and also the balance of bitterness and sweetness.I use caffeine-free coffee, so that I can eat this at night and still get to sleep. I use granulated instant coffee, as opposed to the powdered kind.Use a generous amount of cream, otherwise it will be difficult to whisk. Be sure to use any leftovers to make something scrumptious. Matcha Coffee Matcha Coffee
I bought some matcha, and decided to add it to my coffee. If you pour all the hot water in at once, the matcha powder won't dissolve properly. Adjust the amount of sugar to taste.Although I usually take my coffee black, this tastes best with a bit of sugar. Recipe by Hawaiantomato cookpad.japan -

Chocolate Coffee Pudding Chocolate Coffee Pudding
Whenever I drink hot cocoa, I like adding a little bit of coffee. It makes the drink more flavorful and delicious! So I rearranged a recipe for cocoa pudding and tried making a dessert with cocoa and coffee. When you are using instant coffee granules, it might be hard to dissolve (even though that's the reason I thought of using granules in the first place...lol). If you strain the mixture, it won't be a problem! Recipe by Mintominto cookpad.japan
