Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F

Brown ground beef and drain

Add sauce and simmer for 5 minutes

In the meantime, in a bowl mix jiffy, egg, and milk. Stir until well combined.

In a 9 in greased pan, layer the bottom with sloppy joe then cheese then top it off with cornbread mixture and sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top

Bake for 35-40 minutes

I really do enjoy a good cornbread. I noticed when I get cornbread from the supermarket, it’s moist, almost cake-like. Delicious. When I make cornbread from home, boxed, it tastes a little grainy even when I follow the directions to the T. By adding and altering an ingredient, I was able to achieve a moist cornbread.*** I noticed that I had evaporated milk in the ingredients list and I totally meant condensed milk. I apologize to anyone if it turned out lousy with evaporated milk. If it turned out good... you’re welcome.

This is a dish I often ate when I was in America. It's super easy and delicious! Enjoy eating it while getting your hands and mouth messy.^^The origin of this recipe: I often had it for lunch when I was in America. At first, I thought, "What kind of dish is this with a name like a person's!?" But it turned out to be delicious! At my house, we sometimes added pizza cheese. There are canned Sloppy Joes (just add to the meat), but since I couldn't find them here, I made it with BBQ sauce instead.
