Cooking Instructions

Soak the tamarind in a hot water. Take out the pulp and sieve it.

In a pan put the tamarind paste. Switch on the flame. Add jaggery, black salt, roasted cumin powder, salt, black pepper powder, red chili powder,dry ginger powder. Cook till jaggery dissolves. If its sour add sugar to it.

Check the consistency. If it’s watery cook more. Once it starts to thicken add melon seeds and cook for 1-2min. Switch off the flame. Let it cool down. Enjoy your tamarind chutney with your favorite chat.
