Growing up with this recipe a family favorite. I have added my own flair as the years have passed but still true to mom's.

My first recipe post! My hubby-to-be had been craving corn chowder for a while so I decided to mix and match some different recipes and ingredients and make my own! I made it dairy free for my temperamental tummy, but didn't sacrifice the creaminess :)

I came up with this after having a super delicious welsh onion chowder at a friend's house. It has lots of vegetables.Cooking the welsh onion in butter really brings out its sweetness.I think this dish will taste good with any vegetables you add. Add lots!The miso adds a subtle flavor. This is sooooo yummy on a cold fall night!! It makes a ton, but it freezes beautifully, just reheat in the crockpot.

I was craving for some chowder but didn't have any cream and had no idea of the recipe. I searched the net and found some ideas, modified it based on ingredients i had on hand, and experimented with making roux for my cream base using powdered milk.

This is super easy to make and is the greatest potatoe soup I have ever made in my life! It's super creamy and bursting with flavor! Must try!!!!

My family loves potato soup so I experimented with adding a few other things. Ended up with a delicious soup that includes corn. My measurements are approximate. You can add more or less of each item based on your own preferences.

Its crockpot season …. My first soup of the season well chowder . Because potatoes are not cheap anymore i went to canned potatoes for my soups, it also cuts down the cooking times. When i made this i cut down my broth to 2 cups to cut down the recipe for 4 ppl so thats why it might not look the same when you made it. ( i was also low on my better than bouillon)

This is such a warm comfort food and not hard to make at all! I love fall weather, it means fall food! Nom. :hungry

Its a rustic chowder not traditional, in the fact potatoes were substituted with cauliflower. Heavy cream substituted for coconut milk.
