Cheesy Lasagna (with Bechamel layer)

Sometimes a lot of cheese sounds expensive and you may be staying away from making lasagna as it has a lot of cheese. I have found an easy solution that would cut down the amount of cheese (but still has cheese 😅 ) and make it as delicious! This will surely impress your guests.

Sometimes a lot of cheese sounds expensive and you may be staying away from making lasagna as it has a lot of cheese. I have found an easy solution that would cut down the amount of cheese (but still has cheese 😅 ) and make it as delicious! This will surely impress your guests.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
To make the meat layer, add in onion, garlic in a pan on medium heat and saute for few mins. Later add in meat and green chillies and let it cook. You can add water to help it get soft and cooked. once the meat is cooked, add in pizza sauce or homemade sauce (you can also add tomatoes and then add your own flavourings). Now add Italian herb and chilli flakes, salt and black pepper and let it cook for few more mins until fragrant and meat is cooked.
- 2
To make the Bechamel sauce: Add butter in a sauce pan let it melt and then gradually one spoon at a time, add flour and mix well. Once they are all mixed, add in black pepper and milk, continously stir so that lumps dont form. Once sauce is ready, keep aside and let it cool.
- 3
In another pot, boil your lasagna. I do this step at last because otherwise if I keep my lasagna for long they tend to stick even if I wash with cold water.
- 4
Now lets layer them: first add a little spoon of sauce in your tray or cooking tray (make sure it is oven proof so that you can bake). Then add your lasagna sheets, then the meat layer and then béchamel sauce layer and then some grated parmesan cheese. Then repeat! Add lasagna, meat layer, bechamel sauce layer then bit more cheese at the top so it is cooked and looks cheesy enough :)
- 5
Now pre heat your oven at 150 degrees and cook for 15 mins. Your delicious lasagna is ready.
- 6
Tip: if you make it ahead, let it cool and keep in the fridge, when you want to serve, pre heat your oven and bake for 5 - 10 mins, it will taste amazing as freshly cooked the next day. Dont keep it for too long in the fridge though. One day would be best.

Lasagna Lasagna
I've made this several of times. It originally was a cheese lasagna but I tweaked it a little bit. I kind of merged it with another lasagna recipe. I suggest that you double the cheese mixture just because I always run out of it before I'm done. But other than that, I hope you enjoy this recipe. Teapot1991m -

Oven Baked Chicken Lasagna with a Refreshing Taste Oven Baked Chicken Lasagna with a Refreshing Taste
I always love trying out recipes that have chicken as the main ingredient, I prefer white meat rather than red and chicken usually is my first go to favorite. This recipe has been around a very long time in my kitchen, so if you love chicken then this recipe is one that you will truly enjoy.A colorful meat sauce with the added peppers and carrots make a much lighter version than the usual beef sauce. I have topped the lasagna with the Bechamel Sauce recipe I posted yesterday, and added the delicious Parmesan cheese for a lovely crust. Every bite of this tasty lasagna has a lovely and delicate taste that just wants you going back for more. 🙂 Foodzesty -
Beef lasagna Beef lasagna
Beef lasagna is a classic Italian dish made by layering cooked lasagna noodles with a rich meat sauce, cheese mixtures, and then baking until bubbly and golden. This beef lasagna recipe is made with an easy meat sauce as the base, a creamy ricotta cheese mixture and mozzarella cheese. BONUS: it’s make-ahead and freezer-friendly!This lasagna is easy to make. Cook the meat sauce and boil the lasagna noodles. Mix the cheeses mixture and then it is all about layering: meat sauce, lasagna, cheese. Repeat the layers ending up with meat sauce. Bake and allow to cool somewhat.Once removed from oven, allow the dish to rest for at least 15 minutes. I prefer to let it rest for 45 minutes as it will retain the heat. Besides, this makes it easy to slice and hold shape.Lasagna is one of the best meals to make ahead and freeze. Double or triple the recipe and store it tightly wrapped in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight and bake as directed. Sarvat Hanif
