I love Waffles.I love French Toast.Why not combine them both into one yummy sensation?Follow the directions for your waffle iron for this recipe. I added a lot of cinnamon and just a little bit of vanilla extract, that is why this recipe says a dash and a splash. Add both according to your own taste.Enjoy!

2cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 3 tbsp sugar, 1/3 cup instant oats, 1 cup water, 1 cup milk, 1/3 cup oil, 1 egg

Makes four "four square" waffles in a Cuisinart Belgian waffle maker.

This is an adaptation of my pancake recipe (which I'd worked on for about 10 years) which I'd made after I got a waffle iron. I might like these even better, so definitely give it a try! Makes a great breakfast when you want something nice but don't want to spend too much time either.
