Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare your ingredients, separate the egg whites and yolks
- 2
Take the egg whites, add in the salt and using a hand mixer start to mix
- 3
Add 60gms of the sugar in bits to the egg whites as you continue mixing, the rest of the sugar will be used later
- 4
Beat for around 8 min till stiff peaks form, then keep aside
- 5
In the other bowl with the yolks, add the remaining sugar and mix till pale yellow
- 6
Add in the milk, oil and essence and continue mixing till everything is incorporated
- 7
Sift in the dry ingredients to the mixture and mix well till smooth
- 8
Once the yolk mixture is smooth, add in about a third of the egg whites into it and slowly mix
- 9
When it comes together pour the mixture into the remaining egg whites and gently fold it in, be careful not to deflate the air pockets accumulated from the egg whites
- 10
When everything is mixed pour the batter into the baking tray that has been lined with parchment and greased.
- 11
Bake at 160-170degrees for 30 min, when ready, the cake should spring back once touched.
- 12
Remove from oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then remove from baking tray, let it cool completely before frosting, I used my white chocolate buttercream frosting but you can also use whipping cream.
- 13
After frosting, roll the cake using a parchment paper and place in the fridge for 30-45min
- 14
Your Swiss roll is now ready to be devoured. Enjoy😊

A Fluffy Cocoa Swiss Roll Sponge A Fluffy Cocoa Swiss Roll Sponge
I wanted to make a fluffy sponge cake for a Swiss roll, so I tried making it many times and came up with this recipe. Beating the egg yolk and white separately allows the sponge to be very fluffy! The ingredients amount is for the baking sheet I used (24 cm Swiss roll tray).Make a stiff meringue. Make sure to mix the batter carefully without rushing, to leave no lumps of flour and heavy cream. Spraying water is to bake a moist sponge, and to even out the surface. This will eliminate the large air bubbles on the surface too! Make sure not to let the cake become dry when letting it cool down. Recipe by Toiroiro cookpad.japan -

Milky Cream Swiss Rolls Milky Cream Swiss Rolls
I once tasted cream made with condensed milk, which was deliciously milky. That's why I decided to make these swiss rolls with condensed milk cream.Be careful not to cook the eggs when you are warming. The eggs must be beaten well and the batter must be folded until it becomes glossy. If the batter is not folded enough the cake will be rough and dry, but mixing too much will cause it to become firm like a pound cake. Peach Jam Swiss Roll Peach Jam Swiss Roll
This cake is also known as pío Nono, jelly roll, or Swiss roll—whatever you call it, it's a rolled sponge cake. I filled mine with peach jam because I had just made some, but you can also use pastry cream, whipped cream with strawberries, dulce de leche, or any kind of jam. It's not hard to make. Chocolate Cream & Cocoa Swiss Rolls Chocolate Cream & Cocoa Swiss Rolls
I wanted to make a swiss roll with a double punch of chocolate. For Step 2, start mixing the chocolate into the cream as soon as it's poured in so that it doesn't harden. For Step 6, by pouring in just 1/3 of the meringue to begin with, the mixture will gradually become nice and smooth. For Step 10, make sure the better looking side of the sponge is on the bottom. Fluffy Swiss Rolls Fluffy Swiss Rolls
I made swiss rollsmade with the egg yolk and white separately beaten. It turned out really fluffy and delicious like a chiffon cake.I recommend filling this cake with just cream. It is delicate and fluffy and will lose its taste and texture if filled with fruits. If you prefer to fill this with chunky fillings, I recommend beating the egg whole instead of separating. Swiss Roll Cake with Snow-White Swirls Swiss Roll Cake with Snow-White Swirls
I like baking so much and was quite intrigued when I saw a very white Swiss roll cake in a shop.I heard some people say that the sponge doesn't rise so much. When you mix the meringue with the other stuff, try not to damage its airiness. My baking sheet is very small because it is from an oven toaster. For 1 small cake, 22 x 28 cm [8.7 x 11.0 in] unrolled. Recipe by Genpokin cookpad.japan
