Cut the carrots and potatoes to bite-sized chunks.

Cut the onions in half, then julienne for about half an inch.

Brown the outside of the meat on all sides and separate.

Caramelize the onions on the liquid from the meat.

Add carrots and potatoes and sauté for another few minutes.

Put the meat back in the pot.

Pour the water and boil.

Cover and simmer for about 40 minutes.

Add the sauce mix and simmer for 10 minutes after mixing up.

Add the apple preserve, ketchup, soy sauce and mix.
