Soft Buns

Influenced by my bff, Hopeey 💖 and please use warm liquids. Hot will kill the active yeast
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix yeast with warm water for about a minute till it dissolves. Set aside
- 2
Mix warm milk, sugar, salt and margarine in a bowl till dissolved. Set aside till cooled completely.
- 3
Pour above mixture into the yeast mixture in the large bowl, stirring. Then add the flour, kneading and adding more flour if required so as not to stick on the walls of the bowl. Use 6min and more kneading. Apply oil to the sides of the bowl then cover it with clinging film or kitchen cloth to allow dough to rise for 1½hrs - 2hrs.
- 4
Punch the risen dough to get rid of excess air and knead once more for airy light buns. Make 20 round balls and arrange on greased baking tray.Allow them to rise for 40min-1hr before baking.
- 5
Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25min till golden brown. Apply butter on hot buns and allow to cool. Enjoy 😘

Garlic Knots Garlic Knots
Bread... Any bread is my weakness. But buttery, garlic knots warm from the oven is my all time favorite. Make as an appetizer, stuff with cheese and pepperoni for after school or gameday treats, with spaghetti or lasagna. Who needs a reason. Warm, soft pillowy garlic knots. Anytime is the right time. :) Raven -
Pizza Dough Pizza Dough
source: https://sugarspunrun.com/wprm_print/13562Notes¹I've found that all-purpose flour yields a softer crust while bread flour gives a slightly crispier exterior. Please see the post for more information on all-purpose vs. bread flour in pizza dough.²Many commenters have reported using active dry yeast (use the same amount, 2 ¼ teaspoon) with success. Some people have proofed the yeast first with the ¾ cup warm water, which is what I would recommend, while others have just mixed it into the dough as instructed. Both have had success!³Ideally your water should be between 105-115F (40-46C). I usually just use warm tap water but do make sure that your water isn't too hot or it will kill your yeast! Soft Pretzels and Spicy Cheese Sauce Soft Pretzels and Spicy Cheese Sauce
This was my contribution to a superbowl party. (Let's be honest, I just go for the food.) It was a big hit and I wasn't upset to be bringing home leftovers instead of crushed Seahawk dreams. lisazirb -

Fluffy Buns for Hot Dogs 🌭 / Sandwiches or Burgers 🍔 Fluffy Buns for Hot Dogs 🌭 / Sandwiches or Burgers 🍔
We wanted to make extra special hot dogs in a street food style, but living abroad, it's extremely difficult to find good buns for this purpose. So, I went into the kitchen and made my own buns!!They turned out more than fantastic, fluffy, and exactly how we wanted them, so I'm sharing the recipe with you 🤩I filled them with country sausage, crispy bacon, cheese, caramelized onion, ketchup, and mustard... homemade street food 😁🤪Let's make them!!!P.S.:They can be used however we want and filled with anything we can think of, from patties, sausages, ham and cheese, salads, etc., to hazelnut spread, jam, butter, and honey, etc.In the recipe, I used a combination of all-purpose flour and cake flour. Also, I didn't have fresh milk, so I used condensed milk, which I simply diluted 50-50 with warm water. Mariana Mykonos 💙🇬🇷🤍Translated from Cookpad Greece -

Finnish Coffee Pulla Finnish Coffee Pulla
My grandmother used to make this bread on a regular basis and was known to make it on the spot if anyone dropped by to visit. After my grandmother passed away, my mom and dad, then my sister and I have carried on the tradition. Because it takes a while to make, we have traditionally made it for Christmas each year. We love to eat it warm from the oven, with or without butter. As a child, I remember that we each used a large animal or goat shaped cookie cutter on the dough to make "Joulupukki" for Christmas morning. Don't expect the bread to be light and fluffy. It is a moist rich coffee bread.ingridbagnariol

Nana's Old-fashioned White Bread Nana's Old-fashioned White Bread
When treated gently this bread is light and airy, but always packed full of flavor. Even if you get a "reject loaf" (aka one that falls while baking) it is still delicious.I don't use shortening in any of my own recipes, but if my Nana used shortening in hers I do not deviate for flavor authenticity and nostalgia purposes. I do use a "modernized method" to make mine because having carpal tunnel makes it difficult and painful to stir and work with thick doughs like this. StephieCanCook -
