Cooking Instructions

Clean the shrimp, drain, and remove the heads and tails. Devein the shrimp. These peeled shrimp have a soft shell and are very tasty. Marinate the shrimp with a little finely chopped onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon seasoning powder, and 1/2 teaspoon MSG for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Place a pan on the stove, add a little cooking oil, and sauté some finely chopped onion until fragrant. Add a little sugar to make caramel. Once the sugar turns a caramel color, add the shrimp and cook until the sauce thickens. Add a little fish sauce and sugar, adjust the seasoning to taste, then turn off the heat.

Transfer the sweet and savory caramelized shrimp to a plate, garnish with cilantro, and serve with hot rice for a wonderful meal.
