Ingredients

1hr 15mins
5 people
  1. 200 gFlour
  2. 160 mlwater
  3. 60g Sugar
  4. 7 gYeast /2 Leveled Teaspns of Yeast
  5. 1/8Teaspn Nutmeg

Cooking Instructions

1hr 15mins
  1. 1

First of all, bloom your yeast to make sure it is still good.
To a bowl, Just add lukewarm water and a teaspoon of sugar, then add the yeast, stir it and cover it, after at least 8-10 mins, the yeast will fully dissolve and rise and form bubbles.

  2. 2

Sift the flour, nutmeg and sugar, then add the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and mix with a wooden/metallic spoon or your hands, turn the mixture, as though you are trying to scoop it, it would take less that 3 mins and you will know it is ready, when the mixture is very smooth and stretchy.

  3. 3

Allow it to rise for about 45 mins or until it has tripled in size and can still hold its shape (very important).
I added mine in a piping bag, you can use a ziplock bag, just to make sure you get that perfect round shape, you can also use your hand.

  4. 4

Heat up some oil and deep fry and continue stirring, to get that perfect colour you have to stir until they turn golden brown, remember to also fry on medium heat, avoid high heat, when adding the next batch, turn off the heat completely and turn it on back when you are done adding the next batch.

  5. 5

    Serve warm and enjoy😋😋
