Easy, Basic Apple Pie

This apple pie was invented as a way to use up apples that were about to go bad!
The filling tastes better if you mound it generously in the center of the pies.
Adjust the amount of sugar used depending on how sweet the apple you're using is.
If the egg yolk is too thick, add a little water to thin it out. Don't add too much water! For 4 pies; about 10 x 5 cm [3.9 x 2.0 in] each. Recipe by Banyangarden
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 410F/210C.
- 2
Make the apple filling. First, dice the apple into 5 mm.
- 3
Put the apple, sugar and butter in a pan, and saute.
- 4
When the butter and sugar have melted and everything is well mixed, simmer over medium-low heat until there's no liquid left in the pan, stirring occasionally.
- 5
When the liquid is gone and the apple is translucent, slightly golden brown and shiny, it's done. Leave to cool down completely.
- 6
Take the 2 sheets of frozen pastry out of the freezer, and leave for 5-10 minutes at room temperature. Cut each sheet into quarters.
- 7
Take 2 of the quarter pieces and cut 4 slits as shown.
- 8
Poke several holes in the other 2 pieces with a fork. If you have a pastry sheet that already has holes in it you can omit this step.
- 9
Cut and poke the other pastry sheet in the same way. You'll have 4 pieces with slits and 4 pieces with holes.
- 10
Put a generous mound of apple filling on the 4 pieces without the slits, leaving about a 5 mm gap around the edges.
- 11
Top with the pastry pieces with the slits, and crimp the edges with a fork.
- 12
Line a baking pan with parchment paper, place the pies on top, brush the tops with egg yolk, and bake for 10 minutes in a 410°F/210°C oven.
- 13
Lower the temperature to 360°F/180°C after 10 minutes, bake for a further 15 minutes and serve!!

Caramelized apple is really tasty, so I used it to make apple pies. When making the caramelized apple, evaporating the moisture and letting it chill well will make the pastry easier to handle. For 4 pies. Recipe by Ayuna cookpad.japan -
Easy Apple Pie Easy Apple Pie
About 20 years ago, I learned from an acquaintance that you can make apple pie without making the filling using raw apples. That was the start of this recipe. If you use raw apples as-is, they exude water, which makes the puff pastry soggy. Thus, after a lot of trial and error, I came to this recipe. The panko absorb the moisture that comes out of the apples. The butter adds richness. I use dried panko. Simple Apple Pies Simple Apple Pies
I wanted to eat apple pie so much so decided to make this. It's so easy to make, so I often make it whilst chatting to my friends. You can make 2 pies from the apple filling in step 2. If you want to make a second pie, it's better to start making it just as the first one is almost done, this way the pastry sheets won't get too mushy. If we only make 1 pie at home we eat the rest of the apple filling with yogurt or ice cream. Classic Apple Pie Classic Apple Pie
After combining and tinkering with various recipes, I settled on this version. Good flavor and no soggy bottom. Leaving out excess fluid from the apples ensures that you don’t end up with a runny mess. The apples bake up nicely and even retain a very slight bite instead of turning into mush. If you like really soft apples in your pie and a runnier inside, simply add some of the excess apple fluid back into the pie.#Holiday #Thanksgiving #Dessert #American Chris Gan -
Quick and Easy Apple Pie Quick and Easy Apple Pie
Every year I get way too many apples from my apple tree, so I have found several ways to use them. One of these is an apple pie which I have experimented with a lot. This recipe is the most basic version of it , but it tastes really great and is very quick and easy to make, so I can usually make a lot of them on fairly short notice.Give it a shot! Jacob -
