  1. 2/3 cupsoftened butter
  2. 3/4 cupsugar
  3. 1egg
  4. 4 tspmilk
  5. 1 tspvanilla extract
  6. 2 cupflour
  7. 1 1/2 tspbaking powder
  8. 1/2 tspsalt

Cooking Instructions

    in a large bowl at a medium speed, cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy.

    beat in egg, milk and vanilla.

    blend in flour, baking powder an salt until well mixed.

    divide dough in half and chill for 30 minutes.

    preheat oven to 375°F and grease two large cookie sheets.

    on a lightly floured surface, work with half of the dough each time, roll 1/8 inch thick.

    use floured cookie cutters to cut shapes into dough and place about 1/2 inch apart on cookie sheet.

    bake 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
