I originally got this recipe idea from Kraft and I used to make these all the time, but somehow I had forgotten all about them until just recently. They are so easy to make and are so tasty. Plus they look surprisingly impressive...nobody ever guesses that they're crackers!

Ingredients

  1. 2 packages*8 oz. each* semi-sweet baking chocolate
  2. 3/4 tsp.peppermint extract
  3. 1sleeve Ritz crackers
  4. Crushed candy canes or sprinkles, for decoration

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside. Melt the chocolate in a large, shallow bowl in the microwave in 30 seconds intervals, until fully melted and smooth. Then stir in the peppermint extract.

  2. 2

One at a time, dip the Ritz crackers into the chocolate, coating them fully. Use a fork to lift them out, let the excess chocolate drip off, then slide them onto the parchment paper. Sprinkle either some crushed candy cane or sprinkles over the top while they are wet.

  3. 3

Let the chocolate harden and set. That's it!

I love to bake and to try out new recipes! I'm always on the lookout for simple dinners for busy weeknights. A lot of the recipes I post on here are ones I've found on Pinterest or from different bloggers, and that I've tried and really enjoyed, but I always reference to where I got the recipe from in the recipe description and the pictures are my own. If there's no source listed, then it's a rare recipe that I came up with. I have two wonderful kids and I hope to pass on my love of cooking and baking to them.
