Ingredients

3-4 servings
  1. 2 tbspasli Ghee
  2. 2green cardamom
  3. Pinchgreen cardamom powder
  4. 5-6 tbspSooji (semolina)
  5. 3/4 cupwater
  6. 1/4 tspzarday ka rung (dark orange colour)
  7. 4 tbspsugar
  8. Almonds for garnish

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Heat ghee in a saucepan and add cardamom. Fry them for a while.

  2. 2

    Now add sooji and sauté it for some time until it starts changing colour and smells start coming.

  3. 3

    Now add water, sugar And colour. Now cook further.

  4. 4

    Keep cooking at medium flame with constant stirring. The water will dry quickly. Put off the flame immediately. Make sure you don’t completely dry the water (keep the halwa a little moist.) leave it for 10 minutes to set on it's own before you take it out in a serving dish.

    Garnish with almonds and serve.
