Pork Chops with Apples and Stuffing

#GoldenApron23 week 12. I call this a beginners recipe. The whole meal is ready at the same time. The only thing you might add is a vegetable.

One night my family wanted pork chops and stuffing and I like my stuffing crisp, so I baked the whole dish. Its easy, fast and can be made in less than an hour.

This was a recipe that I saw on the side of Stovetop Stuffing mix for pork. I have been making this for 30 years ago. I use the cornbread stuffing mix because I prefer the taste better.

Someone will ask about the chops only being browned and not fried until done. The pork chops will finish cooking when they are baked, so they will be cooked until done in the end. If you cook them until done when you fry them they will be to dry and hard at the end...I also made salt optional because of the soup and seasoning in the stuffing mix.... You can also buy low sodium soups...

A crowd pleaser at my house. Great with mashed potatoes and a basic vegetable, like broccoli.

The way I found this recipe was to cook it in a slow cooker but I rather bake it * Update * I made it with turkey breast diced up, dried cranberries, frozen green beans and used 1 can cream of chicken and 1can cream of broccoli because I didn't have anymore cream of chicken and I really loved the change it was very tasty.

this is such a quick and easy chicken dinner and I'm sure there are a ton of delicious ways to modify it but I keep it simple so my kids will eat it

This is a usual Sunday dinner in our house in the stuffing I sometimes mix in a heaped tablespoon of cranberry jelly instead of Apple sauce

I didn't close cavity left open for the stuffing put at the end.

We used to make a dish like this often that used canned condensed soup, but since having to clean up my diet due to health reasons, we've had to find better ways to enjoy some of our old favorites.
