The irony? It is currently freezing in Malawi, and I have no business making juice. But it is guava season; and my partner, in a burst of fruity generosity, decided to buy about half a dozen guavas the day before he left for a work trip. So here I am, stuck with guavas I honestly can’t stand eating on their own. The solution? Guava juice. Quick, simple, and refreshingly #nofuss

Ingredients

15 minutes
Yields 1.5ltrs
  1. 500 gwhite guavas, chopped
  2. 4 ccold water (or more, depending on desired thickness
  3. 5dates, seeds removed and halved (optional)
  4. Honey or preferred sweetener (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Transfer guava chunks and dates to a blender. Pour in 1 cup of cold water and blend until smooth. Add more water, a little at a time to the desired consistency

    Pour juice through a fine mesh sieve and strain into a jug to remove seeds and pulp. Use a spoon to press the juice through

    Taste your juice and stir in the honey for more sweetness if needed

  4. 4

    Serve juice into a glass over ice or refrigerate until cold. Enjoy 😉
