Chapati
Chapatis are pretty easy to make, the dough simply needs to rest for around an hour at room temperature before cooking it to yield the best results. The dough can also be made ahead, kept in the fridge and then brought back to room temperature just before preparing to save time if you're cooking for several people. This recipe makes 6 chapatis, simply double the amounts to make 12, and so on.#chapati #chapatis #chapatti #atta #indianfood #bread #curry #indian #dinner #wholemealflour #flour #simplerecipe #easyrecipe #sidedish #side

Chapati type 2
These chapati are not the shortcut ones normally (see other ones of shortcut recipe ) so they do need a bit more time due to the extra steps of rolling and swirls....also you may b able to do upto swirl stage and freeze individually wrap In cling film and freeze them in freezer.for premaking the in advance InshaAllah or if you would like to do in larger batches e.g. for making later (e.g. when you wanna save time and effort!and having visitors so Eid need more of them.and alos may not have time for making them on the day)...they do taste delish though alhamdulillah

Vegan white sauce or cheese sauce 🌱
This is a vegan version of a basic white sauce recipe. If you want a cheesy sauce stir through a few tablespoons of crushed nutritional yeast at the final stage or use a bay leaf or a little mustard to improve the flavour. If your sauce doesn’t thicken use a little cornflour slurry.I’ve been making non-vegan sauces for years and I was amazed that I could just swap my usual ingredients for dairy-free alternatives and use my usual method. I use this sauce for lots of vegan dishes - mac and cheese, lasagne, pie fillings etc..This was inspired by lesson 4 of #cookpadcookeryschool and completes my homework!

Matcha flavour and White Chocolate flavour go very well together. You can add White Chocolate to the milk sauce, but I usually don’t stock it. What I always have in the fridge is Sweet Condensed Milk and it is also great with Matcha flavour. I like this dessert COLD, but it can be enjoyed WARM.

Cashew nut Nooch sauce
This recipe is adapted from the recipe at the back of the Bob Red mills Nutritional yeast packet. No oil is needed as there is sufficient fats from the cashew nuts.Nutritional yeast totally revolutionalises the way I cook. I love the umami flavour.I add it on blanched or steamed vegetables,Add it to pasta, riceI even enjoy it as a savoury warm drink.Don’t be put off by the smell. Taste it and be transformed.Notes:You can use either a blender or food processor.I have tried both and prefer the processor.Adapted from Bob red mills recipehttps://www.bobsredmill.com/recipes/how-to-make/cashew-no-cheese-sauce/Amendments made wereReduce salt from 1.5 tsp to 1 tsp& added lemon peel#Sauce

White chapati (oiled thrice and rolled out twice)
May seem alot of steps but very worth it ..at the end .make this enjoyable ..now good news for this recipe it can be pre made!So the dough balls can be frozen.and easily thawed coz they thaw very fast if stored as the dough ball stages so ..can then do the remaining process after they come back from life in the freezer! So you are looking at back to elastic and soft dough ball making sure the coldness is all gone, but again not leave for long out until too soft and hard to handle for the next steps.enjoy making these! Pls remember to follow the steps as well as mant suggestions here including further ideas fron the lovely sisters who work hard to make lovely food like these and where inspiration to some of the recipes too #mycookbook
