This sounds a very good go to when time is at a premium. Could you please advise if there is a reason why the garlic is left whole and removed or if it’s just a matter of personal preference? Thanks.

I sometimes leave it til the end then remove. Other times remove it earlier. When left whole like this it's not for eating, just flavour

I suspected such. We are, unfortunately, rather addicted to garlic so I’d probably eat the discarded clove as a pre-lunch appetiser! Thanks for your prompt reply.
