Great recipe. Useful info about this type of ‘shrooms. I love daikon but i find they go soft here so quickly (probably because they are imported from afar) and they take ages to cook so I peel them and cut them into half moons and boil with a little turmeric then freeze in batches for quick use.

Thanks! Your preparation of daikon is such a great idea! Yeah, I had no idea that shiitake mushrooms could cause a reaction in some people until I started reading up on them. Good to know. 🤔

Definitely good to know and not something anyone would think of as I consider mushrooms to either be poisonous or edible. Never picked any from the woods as daren’t 🍄🍄🟫🪦 but have had some grown by my friend who put spores in a pond soaked log and they were amazing. Still to try lions mane but they are hard to come by and heckishly expensive over here.

That’s incredible! Growing your own mushrooms sounds like a neat hobby. Do they also grow any “special mushrooms” 🍄 😵💫? Haha! Don’t answer that! LOL. I had to look up what a lion’s mane mushroom is. That one looks pretty fantastic! I’ve never tried it either. Maybe someday.
