Fantastic! I think I need something spicy and hearty this week, since I’m fighting a mild cold. Maybe something like this and a medicinal old fashioned possett that I read about in your post last week. LOL
Any good cold remedies that you can recommend?

I couldn’t take a photo that doesn’t make it look like dog food but it tastes a damned site better than it looks. Should clear your sinuses as it’s spicy. Really cold here atm, sharp frost this morning and grey skies every day. Got so fed up I found a stupidly cheap deal and popped over to Africa for a week to warm up but with the cold mornings and evenings (8°C) and hotter daytimes (24°C) everyone ended up with the lurgy on the plane on the way home.

Best cold remedy I’ve found is grated turmeric, grated ginger, whole lemon (zest and juice), pinch pepper, add hot water and let it seep. Add honey to taste.Pineapple (especially the core) stronger than any cough medicine you will find on the chemist’s shelf due to its high levels of bromelain. Sambucol (black elderberry) is good for your immune system.I wish you a speedy recovery.
