Wow Laura your dish looks divine! I’m finally back home 🤭 unfortunately every time I tried to go to that restaurant with the tuna salad with pears, they were so crowded we couldn’t even park 😳 but I’m going to google the restaurant. It’s called Union Grille in Washington pa US maybe we can view the salad. Tell me plz sweetheart how have you been? I’ve thought about you on my visit with my parents ❤️

Thanks. It’s honestly one of those dishes say nah how could the Italians do such a thing but it’s actually very easy to make and tasty!

Brits complaining about the heat is unheard of!

my trip was so much fun and at times quite busy. I’ve got a very good point of view how my dad is doing since his accident last year. So I was able to call drs and speak to them to find out or to make them aware of things. Spent lots of time with my cousin who was also my childhood bestie! We did so much together.
Sadly leaving is very difficult but then seeing my beloved husband helped tremendously
Thats very strange not seeing that salad on there. It’s been the most popular salad for many years but maybe that’s the reason they changed it up. Everything in this restaurant is absolutely amazing.

Here in Enugu it’s still rainy season but still hot lol. It’s 29c but my fan is my friend 🤭

So glad you had an amazing time. Good you were there to take care of things for your dad. Were you born/brought up in Washington? Did you say you have a daughter living in the US too?

It was necessary to do as much as I could for mum n dad seeing how things were going. I’m so glad I was able to take care of so much for them.
I was born in Washington, Pa and growing up we moved around a lot. Started off near the city of pgh and eventually ended up in beautiful country. Yes I do have a daughter and saw her graduation and sadly didn’t see her anymore. She’s 18 and doing her own thing. So I missed 😢her

I bet you miss her but it’s good she’s so independent. My son is still at home and he’s 29! Rent and house prices are so high it’s impossible for him to get a place on his own.

Aww I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s got to be so very frustrating for him. Does he have a decent job there? Or are good jobs hard to come by?
All 4 of my kids were and are very independent. I told them at 15 if you want to drive at 16 then you need to work to pay for car insurance and fuel. So they all started working at 15 🤭 and flew the nest around 18 and very successful. My 2nd oldest lives in Netherlands so he took after me leaving the country.

Oh wow 4 kids, how fab. My nephew lives in the Netherlands. It’s difficult for my son as he’s partially sighted and so can’t drive. He can cycle though so has had a job since he was 11 and now works in a local warehouse. He’s been trying for a couple of years to get on an evening course at college to learn a trade but always seems to be put on a waiting list.

I did not even see this reply. Table tennis sounds like so much fun. Is this the same as ping pong? If so we played that all the time growing up. My dad put a table in our game room so he played with us a lot! I’m so glad you have been able to travel around to different places. That must be so much fun exploring new things. I’ve always wanted to go to Croatia!
