Sort and clean your rice

Take your cooking pot add the water,salt to taste, Cardamom and oil and bring to a boil.

Add your rice and let it cook

Take the food colour mix with the milk,or water,or the coconut light milk.

When the rice is almost completely dry reduce the heat and add the food colour on different spots on the rice (scatter).

Cover the pot and let the rice simmer and cook and dry completely.

After the rice is well dried and cooked,use a flat aluminium spoon to mix the rice together,making sure you do not break the rice.

Serve with your choice of stew.
