Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

Mix sugar and water in a pan and put it on low flame to make a sugar syrup. Let the sugar completely dissolve in the water and boil the syrup till a 1 taar ki chaashni is formed (1 thread). If there are impurities in the sugar syrup you can remove it with a spoon while the syrup boils.

  2. 2

You can adjust the amount of sugar as per your wish. If you like extra sweet laddoos then you can take 3/4 cup of sugar and if you like less sugar then go in for 1/2 cup of sugar.

  3. 3

Once the 1 taar ki chaashni is formed, switch off the flame. Add the Dessicated coconut, fresh coconut cut into small pieces, crushed cardamom powder, Chironji and muskmelon seeds. Mix all the ingredients

  4. 4

The laddoos need to be formed when the mixture is hot/warm. If the mixture gets cold forming the laddoos would be difficult. In that case put the pan back on low flame and heat the mixture a bit and then form the laddoos.

  5. 5

Make all the coconut laddoos this way. If you wish you can even add chopped dry fruits for extra flavour and crunch.

  6. 6

Serve the laddoos on festivals or as a post meal dessert. Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for better shelf life.

I come from a Punjabi family and have been a foodie since childhood. My parents are amazing home cooks who are the reason why I developed an interest in food. I remember helping them in the kitchen whenever they used to cook new and tasty dishes. I loved watching cookery shows and reading about food in magazines and newspapers. As I grew up, I realized my passion and decided to take that up as my education. I later went on to study Bachelors in Home Science  and Masters in Nutrition. And so in July 2018, once my masters was over, I started my Instagram Blog “the_daily_delish” which reflects my passion and love for food. I am very happy with my journey so far. My followers are like my family and it feels really good to know that people are liking and appreciating my work. It has been a smooth journey and I am putting my 100% to it and thoroughly enjoying my work.Since food has been an integral part of my life, I have always wanted to share maximum knowledge about it and I believe as a food influencer I am doing the same. I would like to continue creating engaging and creative content for my audience. I love travelling and exploring cuisines of different regions around the World and I am hoping to do a lot more of that in the coming months and years.
