This is my two nieces' favorite dish. As soon as it's done, they compete to eat it! You can enjoy flan on its own or with sweet soups and fruits to create special dishes. Let's make caramel flan with Nhung!

Crack the eggs into a bowl and stir gently. Then, pour the sweetened condensed milk into a pot, add 1 cup of boiling water, and stir well. Add the whole milk and 2 tablespoons of sugar, adjusting to your family's taste. Heat the milk mixture, then pour it into the bowl with the eggs, stirring gently. Strain the mixture through a sieve to make it smooth.

Put the sugar and a little water in a pan and heat until the sugar caramelizes to a golden brown. Add a bit more water and turn off the heat.

Pour the caramel into a baking mold, just a thin layer. Then pour the strained mixture from step 1 into the mold, cover, and steam for about 35 minutes.

Test with a toothpick; if it comes out clean, the flan is done. Let it cool and store in the refrigerator to enjoy later.
