Ingredients

  1. 1/3 cupraw cashews(soaked, drained and rinsed) (I skip the soaking with a high speed blender without problems)
  2. 1 cancoconut milk
  3. 1/2 cupnutritional yeast
  4. 2 tspsalt
  5. 1/2 tsponion powder
  6. 1/3 cupcornstarch
  7. 2-3 Tbsplemon juice
  8. 3/4 cuproasted red peppers (or pimentos or a fresh red pepper)

Steps

  1. 1

    Place all ingredients in a blender and blend approximately one minute until sauce is completely smoothe

  2. 2

    Pour Mixture into saucepan and heat on medium high until cheese thickens. Stir constantly because of the corn starch.

  3. 3

    You could spice it up with some red pepper flakes, or you could add it to cooked macaroni for some amazing comfort food. Can be used for the usual cheese sauce applications such as over baked potatoes, broccoli.
