Ingredients

  • 400 gmsripe Tomatoes
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tspCumin powder
  • 1 tspCoriander powder
  • 2 tbspRed chilli powder
  • 1-2Green chillies
  • 3-4 tbspOil
  • 12Curry leaves
  • 3Dry Red chillies
  • 1 tspCumin seeds
  • 1 tspMustard seeds
  • 2 tbspfinely chopped Coriander leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a kadhai. Add Asafoetida followed by Mustard and Cumin seeds both. Let them crackle a bit before adding Red chillies and Curry leaves. Saute all for a few seconds. Now add the chopped tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients.

    Cover and cook till the Tomatoes get tender and mushy. Do not add water. Let them cook in their own juices. Cook until the oil starts separating. Adjust Salt if needed. Garnish with finely chopped Coriander Leaves. Serve it with Plain Boiled Rice and roasted Gosht. It just tastes awesome.
