Ingredients

25 minutes
2 persons
  • 4medium sized boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1finely chopped carrot
  • 1/2 cupfinely chopped beans
  • 2finely chopped onions
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped ginger green chillies
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2 tbspoil for roasting the rolls
  • For the tortillas
  • 1 cupwheat flour
  • 2 tbspoil for moyan
  • 1 tspchilli flakes
  • 1 tsporegano
  • to tasteSalt
  • as neededWater to knead the dough
  • 4 tbspgreen chutney
  • 2 tbspbutter for roasting the wraps
  • 1/2 cuponion rings

Steps

    Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions, garlic and ginger green chillies, saute for a minute. Then add carrot and beans, mix well and cook for 5 - 7 minutes. Then add mashed potatoes and salt, mix nicely and cook on lie heat for 5 - 7 minutes. Then switch off the gas and let the mixture cool down a little.

    In the meantime prepare the dough. In a mixing bowl combine together ataa, oil, salt, chilli flakes and oregano, mix them well with your fingers. Then by adding water little by little knead a smooth dough, cover and keep it for 15 minutes.

    Now make long cylinders with the mixture, about 4 - 5 inches long. Heat a pan and place the cylinders in the hot pan and brush them with little oil. Roast them on low heat, by turning them at regular intervals, until becomes light brown from all the sides

    Now make half cooked Roti's from the dough, a little bigger in size than our regular rotis. Make all the rotis and keep them aside.

    For assembling the wraps, place one roti in a plate, apply chutney all over nicely, then place the ready roll in the center, put some onion rings on top. Now roll it nicely and roast it in a hot tawa with little butter, on low heat, until becomes light brown. Do not overcook them otherwise they will become hard from outside, and will not tastes good.

    When done then take take them out in a serving plate, cut one wrap and arrange them on the other one. Garnish with onion rings and serve hot. You can apply mayonnaise, any spread or dip on the roti, anything which is available.
