I used to think of ribs as something to grill and gnaw on until the bone was clean. Then I tried them this way and it was love at first bite!

Ingredients

2 hours
4 people
  1. 2.2 lbspork ribs
  2. 1red onion
  3. 1 cupred wine
  4. Salt to taste
  5. as neededOlive oil

Cooking Instructions

2 hours
  1. 1

Massage the ribs with salt and set them aside.

  2. 2

Heat some olive oil in a pan and once hot, add the sliced onion.

  3. 3

Sauté for 5 minutes, then add the ribs, making sure to brown them on all sides.

  4. 4

Once sealed, pour the wine over the ribs and let it evaporate completely.

  5. 5

After the alcohol has evaporated, transfer the ribs to a baking dish (unless you have a pot that is oven-safe, in which case you can do everything in one utensil). Add enough water to cover the ribs halfway and bake at 400°F for about an hour and a half (or two, depending on the oven and the size of the pieces...).

  6. 6

Occasionally turn the ribs and check the water level, adding more water if necessary.

  7. 7

Once cooked to perfection, the meat should fall off the bone with just a fork. When this happens, remove the ribs from the oven. If there is still water, let it evaporate before removing from the oven.
