Kolkata Street style Bread Omelette / Dim Powroti

#egg #boxweek13 #mysterybox
This is Bread omelette found generally in the streets of Kolkata sold along with tea or in a separate kiosk ....its a quick bite when you are hungry .....it's generally found in and around offices, hospitals, college canteens or busy market place.
The bread used in this is a quarter pound loaf cut into 2 slices which I have mostly seen in Kolkata....you get the unsliced bread in three sizes- Full pound, Half pound & quarter pound. The shop is stocked with this soft quarter pound breads and piles of egg trays which is a treat to the eyes . This is especially made with mustard oil. After the DIM POWROTI is ready it is sprinkled with the special masala powder which is a speciality of each shop....at home I just sprinkle Chaat Masala, black rock salt and crushed black pepper.
When I am not in Kolkata I make the loaf myself at home.
