Wash and soak rice and all dals in enough water for 30 minutes.

Then cook in pressure cooker with salt, turmeric powder, ghee and approximate 3 cups of water.

In a pan heat oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Add cloves, cinnamon stick and dry red chillies. When mustard seeds crackles add chopped green chillies and crushed garlic. Saute for sometimes. Add chopped onion and tomato. Saute till tomato softens.

Add red chili powder and garam masala powder. Mix it. Now add approximate 1 cup water and allow it to boil. Add cooked rice dals mixture and mix gently. Adjust water according to consistency you like. Adjust salt.

Cook for 3-4 minutes. Yummy dal Khichdi is ready to serve. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and pour some ghee while serving. Serve with curd, papad and achaar.
