Ingredients

5 minutes
Makes 10-12 mini baci
  1. 3/4 cuphazelnut flour (100 grams)
  2. 3 1/2 tablespoonssugar (45 grams), plus extra for coating
  3. 2 teaspoonswater (10 grams)
  4. as neededNutella (or other hazelnut spread),

Steps

5 minutes
  1. 1

    Place the hazelnut flour in a bowl and add the sugar and water. Quickly mix all the ingredients together and knead until you have a soft, compact dough.

  2. 2

    Break off small pieces of dough, about 1/4 ounce (6 grams) each, and roll them into balls. Then roll the balls in sugar to coat.

  3. 3

    Take one ball, add a small amount of Nutella, and top with another ball. Gently press them together to seal.

  4. 4

    Let the baci rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving so they set nicely.
