Its spicy, tangy, pickled curry would rock your taste buds. I used to make it with ready made packet masala few years back. But now I use my own spices to make this for special occasions. The pickle spices and the aroma of achar gosht will make your loved ones tummy roll.

Ingredients

  1. 700 gmutton/ chicken pieces
  2. 2medium sized onions blended into paste
  3. 4tomatoes blended
  4. 1 tspgarlic chopped
  5. 1 tspginger chopped
  6. 1 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  8. 1 tspwhole black pepper
  9. 1 tspwhole coriander seeds
  10. 1 tspcumin seeds
  11. 1 tspblack seeds
  12. 1 tspmustard seeds
  13. 1 tspfennel seeds
  14. 4green chilies slit
  15. 1 tbsplemon juice
  16. Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
  17. 4 tbspoil
  18. 1 1/4 tspsalt

Cooking Instructions

    In a wok, saute blended onions, garlic and ginger in oil on medium flame till they turn transparent.

    In a mortar and pestle, crush cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black pepper, mustard seeds and coriander seeds.

    Add the above spices, black seeds, cinnamon stick, salt into the wok. Toss in meat and tomatoes. Cover the lid and let it cook for abt 30 mins or more on low flame till the meat is ready.

    Mix in green chilies and lemon juice. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with naan/ roti. Enjoy!
