Soju Fun Shots | Soju Cocktail with Cultured Dairy < Yakult | Delight >
This is delicious and not expensive to make. Often a hit at parties and get-togethers.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Chill all ingredients before mixing.
- 2
Mix in a jar filled with ice or it’s actually better if you transfer it to a stainless steel vacuum jug to keep it cold while you do shots :)
Be wary of fake Soju (not Korean made). The quality is not the same and ingredients are not very good.
- 3
MIX 1: Plain or unflavored Soju for Beginners, mix-
1 Soju bottle (360ml)
500 ml sugar-free or regular lemon lime soda like Sprite or 7-up
500 ml cultured dairy like Yakult or Delight or other.Adding more soda and dairy hides the stronger alcohol taste of plain Soju.
- 4
MIX 2: For flavored Soju (like in the photo below),
Since it’s already sweet, you can mix equal parts of Soju, Cultured Dairy and Soda.
You no longer need to hide the alcohol taste, as it’s already hidden by the flavor of the Soju. - 5
MIX 3: For stronger Soju shots, mix-
1 Soju bottle (360ml)
200 ml cultured dairy like Yakult or Delight or other
100 ml to 200 ml sugar-free or regular Lemon Lime Soda like Sprite or 7-up. Adjust according to desired strength. :) - 6
Enjoy fun shots with friends around the table
or
pour in a scotch glass with ice and sip leisurely.

Umeshu Jello - A Cocktail You Can Eat Umeshu Jello - A Cocktail You Can Eat
Our family has dessert regularly, but we don't drink regularly.Since I thought it would be nice to have a handy way of enjoying umeshu, I decided to make it into a jello.I used an umeshu that's not too sweet--but as sweet as the average umeshu.Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of your umeshu.Since this jello is low in sugar, add 1 more tablespoon sugar for those who prefer a sweeter taste. Almond tofu or 杏仁豆腐 (xing ren tou fu) is a refreshing dessert and perfect for a hot summer day. It is like a Chinese version of Panna Cotta but without the heavy cream. Although it’s called almond tofu, it is actually not made from almond but sweet apricot seeds instead. This recipe varies depending on the region. And today, I will show you my simplified version using almond extract and milk. Here is the link to this video. youtu.be/QM8RW_9WYv0 Julie - Mrs. Lin's Kitchen -

Strawberry Shots (Erdbeer Limes) Strawberry Shots (Erdbeer Limes)
This is a nice recipe for an alcoholic homemade summer party drink. It was very popular here in the '90ies and makes me remember my late teenage days. Today I no longer serve it as a shot but have it after dinner chilled on ice. This is also a good way to use up close to overripe or not so pretty strawberries and make them holeproof up to a week.
