Pork Chops

These are natural pork chops, not smoked ones. I didn't know how to cook them, so I found a simple recipe online. As usual, I couldn't get all the ingredients, so here's what I used. Note: I use an electric oven, so it takes a bit longer to bake the meat, but if you use a gas oven, it might take less time. Remember to keep an eye on the cooking time.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a bowl, mix the margarine or butter with the finely chopped garlic and cilantro. You can also add other spices to your liking. Set aside.
- 2
In a separate dish, season the chops with salt. I used oregano because that's what I had on hand, but you can use ground pepper.
- 3
In a skillet, add enough olive oil and fry the chops, searing them on both sides for a minute or two, then remove them.
- 4
In an oven-safe dish, place the seared chops. I spread a layer of the margarine mixture on the bottom of the dish and placed the chops on top. With a spoon, I added a bit more margarine on each chop and left it in the oven at 250°F (120°C) for 5 to 10 minutes.

Let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving. I served them with some white rice. Enjoy.
