Serves 1 serving
  • [Oyako-don Sauce]
  • 1 tablespoonsoy sauce (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoonsake (15 ml)
  • 2 tablespoonsmirin (30 ml)
  • 2large eggs
  • 2 dropsoyster sauce
  • [Katsu-don Sauce]
  • 1 1/2 tablespoonssoy sauce (22 ml)
  • 2 tablespoonsdashi soy sauce (30 ml)
  • 1 tablespoonsake (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoonmirin (15 ml)
  • 1/2 cupwater (100 ml)
  • Onion, to taste
  • 2large eggs
  • 2 dropsoyster sauce

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine the sauce ingredients and bring to a boil.

  2. 2

    Add chicken, onion, katsu, or other toppings and simmer together.

  3. 3

    Mix the eggs and oyster sauce, pour over the top, cover, and cook until the eggs reach your desired doneness.
